Food – as a symbol – has always been associated with family, life, and hearth. Since people acquired their first social connections, and at the same time learned to fry meat at the stake, eating in the family circle has become a tradition. Gradually, especially talented and enterprising owners of home kitchens began to invite strangers to their house and sell them dishes, organizing lunches or dinners. Over time, separate halls were determined for receiving guests, and then buildings. Cooking skills were passed down from father to son, and family establishments were very popular.

Famous worldwide restaurant family brands started small. Sometimes, to keep things afloat, I had to give the last money. And only confidence in success allowed them to go a long way and win success not only in their own country, but also on the world stage.

Mcdonald’s

The most famous network, which will be 75 years old next year, can only be called a family network with a stretch. However, it would not have become legendary if the brothers Dick and Mac MacDonald had not had the idea to open a fast food cafe. No wonder the network name has not been changed since the opening of the first institution in California. By the way, the MacDonalds are considered the founding fathers of the entire fast food system.

A’Riccione

One of the oldest restaurants in Milan. It was founded in 1926 as a tavern. In 1953, when the Metalli family from Romagna became its owners, it was already a restaurant serving the most delicious fish dishes in all of Italy. The success of the cuisine led to the fact that soon the menu was completely made fish and A’Riccione became the first restaurant in northern Italy, which served exclusively seafood.

Over the years, he fell in love not only with the locals, but also with the guests of the country. The incredible amount of frills offered in A’Riccione was once noted by Celentano, Coppola, Fellini and other celebrities. The end of the nineties was marked for the restaurant by a change of owners. Now its owners are the brothers Di Paolo. They not only restored the old building, but also opened another branch.

La Rizacca

Italian restaurant chain, combining three authentic projects. At the head of each institution is a separate family associated with another ancient kinship. In the administration of the network and in the kitchen, family members work, “diluted” by a few outside workers. The staff is always polite and attentive, at the heart of the business is the concept of the master’s house, where guests are always welcome. So, especially for tourists from our country, the owners have prepared a menu in Russian.

Tommaso

The Crotti family – the owners of the restaurant – come from Northern Italy. Leaving their homeland in the late 50s, they emigrated to the United States. The first thing the Italians did right after arranging their home was to decide on looking for family business options. The choice fell on the opening of its own restaurant. “Tommaso” used to belong to another Italian family and Crotty retained everything that was once created by the hands of their countrymen. The landscapes of southern Italy, depicted back in 1935, are being reconstructed to this day. So, guests have the opportunity to visit Italy in the early 20th century. Of the 18 employees of Tommaso, 7 are members of the Crotti family. Someone is engaged in bookkeeping, someone is in the kitchen, others are meeting guests. The younger generation happily joins the work of a family restaurant, which has been pleasing its guests for 40 years. Moreover, many of the regular customers already bring their grandchildren and great-grandchildren to Tommaso.

What attracts visitors to a restaurant with a tradition with a long family history? It gives people a sense of stability, home comfort and confidence that they will always provide tasty food, and will not save on the quality of products. The principle of continuity of generations always plays in the business in the hands of its owners. In marketing terms, this is the legend that always attracts the attention of adherents of home cooking and puts eternal family values ​​in the first place.
