Copenhagen: Top 5 Places for the Perfect Breakfast

A morning meal is designed to saturate a person, give him energy and mood at the beginning of working days or a relaxing weekend. Danish breakfast is no exception. ₽
On ordinary days, the Danes on the table – fresh rolls and various bread for sandwiches, butter and cheese, jam from berries, coffee with milk. For children, oatmeal is cooked or a faster option is prepared – corn flakes with milk. Also characteristic of Denmark only is ymerdrys, made from a mixture of rye bread and brown sugar. A morning meal on a weekend or holiday in Denmark is more thorough, because you do not need to rush to work. On such days, fruit and juice, soft-boiled eggs, sweet pastries (for example, wienerbrød – from puff pastry with filling), and sometimes even a local national drink, bitter herbal Gammel Dansk are served. We explain alcohol: breakfast is often celebrated in Denmark for birthdays and other important events, while in other countries dinner is reserved for this. The Danes, big lovers of bread and pastries, came up with special wheat buns for breakfast – they can be bought every morning in bakeries across the country. And many housewives knead the dough in the evening and cook a brusebadsboller (“shower rolls”) in the morning – they manage to bake during the shower, hence the funny name. If you do not plan to visit the Danish family, you can have breakfast in one of the many cafes and restaurants of Copenhagen. We have selected the 5 best places to go for breakfast in the capital of Denmark.

Here you will find simple, but at the same time creative cuisine, non-trivial serving of dishes and excellent products.
